Veraguas

The only province that touches both oceans: mountains, rivers, and a coast stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Veraguas is a province in central-western Panama and the only one that borders both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Its capital is Santiago de Veraguas, founded in 1621.

Nature between two seas

Veraguas is home to Coiba National Park — an island and marine sanctuary declared a World Heritage Site — as well as Santa Fe, a mountain town surrounded by waterfalls and trails, and the Gulf of Montijo.

What to see and do

Dive and spot marine life in Coiba, hike the trails and pools of Santa Fe, and enjoy the beaches of Veraguas' Pacific coast, some of them nearly untouched.
