Chiriquí is a province in western Panama, bordering Costa Rica. It is the country's second most developed province and its capital is David. It brings together mountains, coffee highlands, and a Pacific coastline.

Highlands and coffee

Boquete and Volcán, on the slopes of Volcán Barú, are the heart of Panamanian specialty coffee, including the celebrated Geisha. The cool climate and green landscapes draw tourists and retirees from around the world.

What to see and do

Climb Volcán Barú — the country's highest point —, hike Boquete's waterfalls, explore Los Cangilones de Gualaca, and enjoy beaches like Las Lajas and Boca Chica on the Gulf of Chiriquí.
