Darién is a province at the far eastern end of Panama, bordering Colombia. It is the country's wildest and least populated region, largely covered by tropical rainforest.

Darién National Park is a World Heritage Site and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, home to jaguars, harpy eagles, and hundreds of unique species. It is one of the most biodiverse areas on the continent.
