Colón
This province is a gateway to the Caribbean Sea and is steeped in colonial history and Afro-Caribbean culture.

- UNESCO World Heritage Sites: The ruins of the Portobelo and San Lorenzo forts are UNESCO sites that protected the natural harbor during the colonial period.
- Afro-Caribbean Heritage: Colón has a strong Afro-Caribbean identity. The town of Portobelo is also home to the Black Christ, a life-size effigy venerated by locals.
