On the last Sunday of November, the Municipality of Panama City holds a simultaneous lighting ceremony for Christmas lights in more than 35 parks and public spaces throughout the capital district. Urracá Park and the Cinta Costera (Coastal Strip) are the main locations for the event, which includes musical performances, children's choirs, Christmas carols, and the lighting of Christmas trees. The holiday season continues with activities until January.
